No one can argue about the high job outlook in the medical field. It is growing much higher than the average industry with a few careers expecting 36% growth rates between now and 2018. That's high!

While physicians definitely make a fantastic salary, many years of school are required as well as experience in the form of internships. If you don't want to spend that kind of time on your education, then it is still possible to gain a fairly high paying job in the medical field.

As you can see from the table above, dental hygienists earn an average of $68,000 a year and many (about 67%) only have an Associate's Degree. The job outlook for dental hygienists is very high too so if you're looking for a stable, high paying career in the medical field where you don't need to spend years gaining an education, this might be something to look into.
